Double List! As soon as you check out doublelist.com, you will be asked to register, which is kind of a typical thing for these sorts of websites, if you ask me. It offers as free registration, and without registering, you cannot really see what the site has to offer, so you should either register, or you should continue reading as I go over all the crap that you should know about doublelist.com.
It is worth noting that at the time I wrote this review, registrations were not open, but I already had an account here, so that did not really stop me. However, after telling you that the registrations are closed, they will give you examples of other sites that are similar and that you can visit instead, quite neat if you ask me.
As for those were who were looking for something instant and the suggested sites don’t do jack for your taste, you do realize who you are talking to? The Porn Dude. You can just go to my site and list all the dating websites I have, and then find one that suits your dirty little taste just right. I mean, it really ain’t rocket science at this point, everyone has heard about me, I am sure.
There were about 170k users online as I was writing this, which is a big number for a dating website. If you visit the site and the registration is open, you might as well consider registering, obviously. I mean, this shit is free and simple, so why the fuck not, right?
The first thing that makes this site better than most dating websites is the fact that it is good for straight, gays, bisexuals, curious, and others in the LGBTQ+ community. I think that that pretty much speaks for itself on the variety they have to offer. On top of that, doublelist.com strives to offer locals, which means that you will be able to find an actual hookup or connection.
Similar to craigslist
Some say that doublelist.com was created because this section was deleted on craigslist, and they basically needed something that will be a substitute or whatever. Well, they came up with doublelist.com, and it does work. It has big shoes to fill when talking about this because craigslist was basically known to everyone, and it delivered all the necessary aspects.
Now, the reason why you might not have heard about doublelist.com yet is probably that the site is relatively new. I mean, craigslist has been around for quite some time, and I am pretty sure even those who do not have this shit available in their country have heard about craigslist from movies or TV shows, while there is no such advertisement directed for doublelist.com.
So, just give it time. Now, whether it does its job as good as craigslist used to do, is a completely different thing. You will have a lot of aspects of the site to consider, and that is why the fuck I am here. I shall tell you about the shit I think is interesting or worth the mention, and you can decide whether yo think doublelist.com is a suitable fit for you or not.
How does it work?
Well, the first thing you need to do is register. How can you chat with others or do whatever else the fuck you want, if you do not have an account? Now, this is a downward spiral right now, because they do not accept new members, so I am not sure what the fuck to tell you about that. However, if you are able to register on doublelist.com, you will be asked to verify your account with your phone number.
Now, I am sure that some of you might have already clicked away, because why the fuck would you want to give your phone number to a random site? We all want to have anonymity when it comes to sites like these, and having to use your real phone number seems a bit off. Well, not really, if you consider all the other websites that literally ask for the same thing.
Even Google asks for your phone number so that your Google account will be safe, and I know what you are thinking… That’s Google; I trust Google. Do you? You have no idea how much information the online world already has on us thanks to Google and all their crap, yet you probably had no fucking problem giving them your phone number.
Anywho, the reason why doublelist.com asks for your phone number is to make sure that there are no spammers on the site. Anyone can easily register and create multiple accounts, then spam people or whatever the fuck else. They do not give this information away, at least I have not been getting random phone calls yet, so there’s that.
If you ask me, that is a rather good thing, as doublelist.com is basically trying to be the new Craigslist without the need for all the illegal shit that has been happening, and that is always welcomed in my book.
The rules.
Unlike what we might be used to from craigslist, here you do have rules. For example, all kinds of massage and therapeutic services are forbidden; at least they cannot be advertised. You cannot share incest content or harmful, violent, and abusive content. This also includes a section of BDSM, DOM, and SUB content, which is allowed to an extent, as it is a bit difficult to determine when it has become unsafe.
Keep in mind that doublelist.com is not a place where people can share their escorting services. It is forbidden for solicitation, advertisement and prostitution as well. Thus, you can rest assured that you will meet people who are in for the same ride as you. Now, while I am sure scammers, fakes, or whatever the fuck can be found anywhere in the online world, doublelist.com is doing their part to lowering that number.
Other than that, there are strict rules when it comes to nudity and overall pictures of our junk… even just a simple picture of titties, as well as explicit language, which is not something often seen on dating websites. I do not really think that the language limitation was necessary, but whatever floats their boat, I guess.
If you do go against some of the rules, you can and will be banned from the site. Once this happens, you will not be allowed to create a new account using the same phone number, which kind of fuck you over, doesn’t it? But then again, why the fuck would you not follow the rules, that makes 0 sense if you ask me.
One could say that the reason why they are not that popular is also that doublelist.com has too many fucking rules, and some of them do not make sense. I understand that verifying profiles and photos and keeping their site clean is good, but at the same time, the use of vulgar language and basically the ‘send nudes’ aspect of the site has been completely terminated. It’s sad, really.
Choose the right category, and find a fuck mate.
I am not sure whether you want to use doublelist.com as a hookup site or a dating one because you can use them as both. However, you should know that they do offer a variety once you do start searching for people who suit your taste nicely. For example, you have sections meant for guys who are looking for guys, women looking for guys, guys looking for women, couples for couples, couples for him or her, gays for straight, straights for gays, and so on. You get the gist.
There is also a section dedicated to helping you find a proper date, as in whether you are looking for a friendship/platonic, dating misc, or whatever, you have a section for that. So far, as I have seen, doublelist.com does not really have a transgender-friendly outlook on life, and I am basing this on their search options and all that shit.
So, what’s the overall?
Well, doublelist.com is a free site, unlike most similar websites; however, from my experience browsing, and we all know I like to take my time with this shit, there ain’t that many people using it. Now, what is a dating or a hookup site without enough members? Useless. This might not be the case for you, maybe the locals in my area have dried up, but you get the gist. So, browse on your own account.
