How many subscription services do you have in your life? Three? Five? I, personally, have four at the moment – Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Spotify – but am considering another if I can find a good enough porn site to warrant it. I never really found paying for porn subscriptions to be all that worth it, seeing as most of it can be found online for free (if you’re savvy enough). However, I’m not opposed to the idea of paying for porn either. If the price is right and the quality is where I would want it to be, consistently, month after month. Plus, any site that I gave my money to would have to be fucking massive. It would have to have at least as much content as Netflix or Hulu (if not more, seeing as I probably watch less porn than I binge on my favorite series).

But, as of yet, I have no come across such a porn site. There are, however, a shit ton of perfectly fine premium porn studios out there to choose from. Anything put forth by the porn conglomerate, Mind Geek, for instance, tends to be of premium quality. We’re talking about Brazzers, Mofos, Reality Kings, Porn Hub Premium, Twistys … pretty much all the big-name professional porn studios (and most of the tubes, too). But Mind Geek is too steeped in corporate greed for me. High-quality porn, sure, but way too fucking expensive. Plus, they commodify nearly every fucking stroke that you make on their site.

Each site has a separate price tag associated with it. And if you want access to all their content (which is, admittedly, a massive fucking library), you can expect to pay in kind. And ain’t nobody got that kind of money to drop on fucking porno. And if you do have that kind of money to spend so much of it on something so frivolous, then you’re a member of the tax bracket that probably doesn’t have to watch too much porn to begin with. That rich enough to get pussy thrown at you for free type of shit. It’s funny how the more money you have, the more things become free, isn’t it?

So, as a matter of principle, I go out of my way to pirate shit produced by Mind Geek inc. It’s just the right thing to do. At first, I felt sort of bad for the girls. But then I realized, fuck, they’re still getting paid exorbitant sums of money to, essentially, get laid. Fuck it, you’re doing your favorite activity in the world and getting paid nearly a grand an hour for it (sometimes even more than that!). Nah, you’re good. I’ll pirate away, thank you.

No, in order to be swayed to the world of paid subscription porn, you’d have to really impress me somehow. You’d have to provide some sort of full-service experience that I cannot get from torrenting or streaming one video at a time. It would probably have to be an experiential thing of some sort. Like, you’d have to have an immaculate organizational structure to the site, making it easy as a slut to browse titles, suggesting videos that I may like based on my tastes, learning as I fap with a good algorithm.

The porn, of course, would also have to be the top of its class. I’m talking the highest quality videos, hottest chicks, best film work, creative scenarios. Basically, if I were to pay for porn, the site would have to blow me the fuck away. Basically, it would have to just blow me, especially if I were to pay the prices some of these fucking sites are out here charging.

I have heard some excellent things about a site called Adult Time, though. People have told me that if there was ever a site to sway me to the premium pay porn model, it would be this one. So, let’s have a look, shall we? Let’s see if Adult Time can live up to all the hype. Furthermore, let’s see if they can make me, a staunch resistor of paying for porn when so much of it is already available for free, into a paying customer.

The Netflix of Porn?

When you first log into your account, you might be amazed at how incredible this site looks. Just from a design standpoint. This is some next level shit right here. Actually, it is pretty reminiscent of – dare I say it? I don’t want to jinx anything – Netflix, in the way it’s organized, and how intuitive and customized everything is. In fact, it might even be fair to say that Adult Time straight up shamelessly ripped off Netflix’s site design. You’ve got a banner at the top of the page … a carousel of different new releases to choose from.

Below that, all the videos of the enormous Adult Time library are available for perusal. And they are broken up, familiarly, into slim horizontal sections, allowing you to click through to the right and left to view more. Don’t worry, each category comes with a See All button as well, in case you’re not a big clicker.

The categories on the Adult Time home page are nothing like the categories list that you’ll find on any other site either. They are very specific; moreover, they are curated, lo and behold, to your tastes. You’ve got Recommended Scenes for You, Recommended Porn Stars, Recently Watched, Cum Shot Scenes You Might Like, and Trending Adult Time Videos. As you can see, very similar to the Netflix setup you will be familiar with, in the list of very specific categories. It’s about time that someone figured out how to make the Netflix streaming model work for a porn site.

Netflix, and then Some…

If you prefer, however, you have the option to use the site as you would a more traditional porn site as well. At the very top of the page, there is a site menu bar … it’s so small that you might miss it if you’re not looking for it. But maybe you’re not one for all this newfangled technology, and you just wanna get down to brass tacks. If so, you can browse the site by Home, Videos, Porn Stars, Channels, Pictures, DVDs, Favorites, Community, Live Cams, or Deals.

Actually, thinking about it a little more, Adult Time has figured out how to improve upon the Netflix model, seeing that they offer additional content and features that Netflix does not (and, frankly, probably couldn’t). I Really appreciate, for example, that Adult Time offers a community (which is, just to be clear, nothing more than a well-organized and actively engaged forum). Here, users can discuss Adult Time content, get help if they are in search of a specific kind of content, or just shoot the shit about whatever. The forum is split into General Discussion, Hetero, lesbian, and trans – making it easier than ever to find like-minded individuals who like to jerk it to the same shit you do.

Tons of Great Porn Studios to Choose from, and Awesome Original Content, Too

Adult Time also offers original series and content. They have, for example, a pretty killer sci-fi show called Future Darkly, which is both entertaining and fappable. I mean, let’s face it, though, you’re not going to be binging this show for its dialogue or super compelling storylines. But still. Adult Time content, in general, is notorious for being leagues away from any other porn studio in terms of story and, oftentimes, production quality. Adult Time makes content that strives to be almost as entertaining as it is liable to make you cum. And I appreciate the effort (even if sometimes the story can shadow the porn for a little too long).

But is it enough to sway me to become a person who pays for porn? Honestly, it might be. Especially when you factor into it the fact that they are currently running a deal that would allow me to subscribe for just under 8 bucks a month … I don’t know … I might just have to cancel Netflix and replace it with Adult Time, we’ll see.
